Finals presentation and final works
As all my projects have been uploaded on my blog and my goal from the very start was to introduce anime to new comers and also pull in people who are big fans of anime. Through all my projects, I was very excited to put my thoughts on anime out there and really show people that no matter who you are, anime is something everyone can love. Throughout everything, I was myself and wanted to show that within my work. Everything from my logo, info graphic, corpus analysis, and my picture story.
With my logo I changed it to really become a simplified version of what I already had before. I wanted to keep the spacey vibe a little, to really support that anime is global. Even the title of my blog is named "MMDC Universe". So with the colors I wanted to keep the earthy look and the gray and blue. As my blog does has the dark color background with white colored text, It would just look a lot more cleaner showing up on my blog and other works. Obviously, like most logos, I incorporated the name of my blog in there with a not too fancy font type. Just like all my blogs text, it is simple and more clean looking. I think I wouldn't be myself if I used super fancy fonts. Either way when you have a white text on a dark background, this font works best. Honestly I am very proud of the logo I have created. Here is a photo of my logo on the right:
When it came to my infrographic, I was most excited because I could start showing my passion and love for anime. Infographics are pretty cool because you can teach people about new things, but in a very artistic and visual manner. Honestly I think I capitalized on that when editing this project again. As I was missing an extra photo, which was suggested after presenting it before, I included another picture making everything look cleaner and somewhat balanced. Each individual photo stands on its as the text overshadowing, does all the talking. This was another project that I was proud of myself on. Once again font doesn't look to fancy, with the white colored text on top of a dark colored blue. And the same theme, dark blue, black and white. Once again I wanted clean looking text with a dark colored background. Especially with fact based projects, I rather give the reader a font super easy to read, in order to make it easy to learn. Like in most of my projects every one of them reflects my blog, as I stated before on the color theme. For those of you who have seen it before, take a closer look and review some of these cool facts again. I even read them again, as I revisited this project.
For my corpus analysis, I really didn't change much because I felt like I delivered the message very clearly and did that in the most artistic way I could. As most commented on the Pokemon image, I didn't feel the need to expand on that as I felt it would steer it away from focusing on an anime many never had heard of before. So I just replaced it with an attack on titan picture as this is the topic of one of my slides. Once again with the theme of this project I wanted to combine the world of manga's and anime. Following the same color theme I put the dark background and white colored font. As many will noticed with my brand layout, I am true to it and in this project it made is how out way better than I expected. On the other hand, steering away from the design part of it, my idea for this was a difficult one to find, but I wouldn't have done anything different. I did feel like I could've pciked a more clearer topic, but as I stated before I made it work and regret nothing. Prezi Link: https://prezi.com/view/UAGaRFk4JxqVorBNvuNX/
PS..Before I begin this last paragraph on my photo story project, I understand that my podcast project is not included. I have no excuse for this but, I will hopefully continuing on making more podcast and actually editing them. This was a great experience to do it with two best buddies of mine and I regret not finishing to show the class too. But, I will continue on it and hell who knows, One day it'll become the new normal for me. Sorry for my grade honestly and for the people who really looked forward to it. On the other hand, I will present my final project that I am including which is my picture story.
With my picture story I actually changed the whole story and made it a more personal one. I still including the same photos with the anime characters edit into them. Before, I feel like my photo story was very plain and had no actual story to it. I let the photos just talk instead of the text as well. That's exactly what I did the second time around, as my professor as well, wanted this story to be more personal as I was in the photos myself. It wasn't factual at all, but I am representing a world of fiction, so I can easily contest to that. It fit the project well and I actually try to keep my design with the dark images. The gray photos let the anime character's photo's shine on my lens and it really makes the story come to life. Overall, Thank you guys and my professor, for a great semester. This were great projects to do and hopefully this will one day be something I do more of in the future. Each and every project that was included really represented who I was as a person and an anime fan. Peace....
